Job description

Class A CDL Driver – Solo 1 Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking reliable Class A CDL Drivers for our Solo 1 position. This role offers a stable schedule supporting Amazon dedicated runs with a combination of daily home time and occasional overnight routes, competitive hourly pay, and modern equipment.

Compensation and Hours:

1. Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
2. Overtime: Paid after 40 hours
3. Workweek Options:
4. 3 Days / Week: Approximately 40 hours/week
5. 4 Days / Week: Approximately 50 hours/week
6. Additional OT: Available by covering call-offs on scheduled off days.
7. Peak Season: November 1 through January 1, 2027

Schedule & Shift Details

1. Work Days: Between Tuesday and Saturday (days may not run consecutively due to weekly Amazon schedule variations).
2. Night Shift Start Times: 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, or 8:30 PM
3. Shift Duration: Be prepared to work up to 14-hour shifts.
4. Home Time: Combination of home daily with up to 3 overnights per month (1-week advance notice provided for overnight tours).

Operating Territory & Mileage:

1. Territory: All of Ohio, Fort Wayne (IN) area, Detroit (MI) area, Buffalo (NY) area, Pittsburgh (PA) area, and Northern Kentucky area.
2. Daily Mileage: Approximately 250 to 500 miles per day.
3. Freight: All loads are based on Amazon’s operational needs.

Fleet & Safety Equipment:

1. Equipment: Volvo and Freightliner day cabs with automatic transmissions.
2. Fuel Type: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) day cabs with on-property CNG fueling.
3. Safety Features: Inward and outward-facing cameras, outfitted with safety analytics.
4. Speed Governance: All day cabs are governed at 65 MPH.

Requirements:

1. Valid Class A CDL.
2. Ability to work night shifts and up to 14-hour days.
