Job summary

Oldcastle APG seeks a Local CDL A Driver to operate flatbed/end dump trailers from our Jacksonville plant. You will deliver palletized products to stores, distributors, and jobsites and handle end-dump material pickups at our facility.

A valid CDL A and clean MVR are required, with local routes returning home each night. The role emphasizes safe driving, adherence to state and federal laws, and timely communication with dispatch.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with clean MVR and at least 2 years of CDL A driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transport concrete, mortar, and all other materials to and from a job site in a safe manner.
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems.
• Operate tractor-trailer/vehicle according to state and federal laws and observe all safety regulations established by the company and DMV.
• Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned equipment operations, product quality, customer satisfaction and traffic.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating both flatbed and end dump trailers out of our manufacturing plant. Flatbed responsibilities consist of pickup and delivery of palletized products to stores, distributers, and jobsites. The end dump responsibilities are pickup and offload of aggregate raw materials using an end dump trailer. Current CDL A License and clean MVR are required. Local deliveries and home every night.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to operate a gas-powered delivery trailer safely and efficiently
• Must be forklift certified
• Must have at least 2 years' experience driving with CDL A
