Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines.
• Safe lifting and delivery practices are required.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to deliver product to customers accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures on-time delivery according to route.
• Unloads product from trailer, by hand or with a hand cart, into designated storage areas per specs.
• Picks up and transports damaged goods and returns to the SYGMA warehouse.
• Keeps paperwork up to date with DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports and invoices.
• Follows food safety protocols and maintains sanitary conditions in the vehicle and warehouse areas.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management and adheres to company work methods.
• Operates equipment such as hand carts, pallets, load bars and PPE safely.
• Builds strong relationships with customers through clear communication.
• Communicates routing or loading issues to management.
• Transports backhaul and line haul products safely to meet schedules.
• Maintains regular attendance and accepts flexible hours as needed.
