Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring CDL A City P&D Drivers at our Chattanooga, TN Service Center. This full-time role delivers and picks up freight within the city, returning to the terminal daily with multiple stops and customer interaction.

You will operate scanning equipment and liftgate deliveries via an electric pallet jack when needed. Starting at $32.39 per hour, benefits include vacation after 90 days and a comprehensive package with medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required.
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if FMCSA transition from military to civilian CDL.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen.
• Must complete a successful road test.
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• City delivery and pickup of freight and returning to the terminal daily.
• Handle multiple stops per day and work with scanning equipment.
• Interact with customers and complete potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.
