Job Summary

Local CDL A or B Truck Driver, Delivery with a $3,000 sign‑on bonus, at Breakthru Beverage Group in Lexington, IL. This is a full‑time position with a schedule of Tuesday through Friday, starting at 7:00AM and lasting an average of 10 hours or until routes are completed.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages to accounts in a safe and responsible manner while complying with federal mandates.
• Maintain good relationships with retail customers and provide excellent customer service by listening to and resolving concerns.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoices.
• Record sales by completing daily sales and delivery records.
• Return empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise by making appropriate collections from customers.
• Complete required paperwork after delivery due to liquor laws; invoices must be signed when the product is dropped off.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal mandated laws and requirements for a DOT driver.
• Maintain a DOT driver log and complete all required documentation.
• Perform duties safely, following established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after use, log inspections, and report any requirements.
• Maintain vehicle condition, protect the load, and keep the truck in good appearance through daily cleaning.
• Request routine truck maintenance by completing a written maintenance request form.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor may also be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and 1–2 years of related delivery experience.
• Strong communication skills with high levels of professionalism.
• Bi‑lingual is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to lift cases weighing 45–65lbs on a regular basis.
• Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills with good attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.

Physical Requirements

Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach. Frequently climb in and out of the truck. Regularly lift 45–65lbs. Must be able to talk, hear, use hands, and operate a vehicle and technology devices.

Competencies

Accountable for meeting own targets; work is reviewed periodically. Problems encountered are defined, repetitive, and routine with readily available solutions.

Sign‑On Bonus

$3,000 sign‑on bonus ($500 at 30 days, $500 at 90 days, and remaining $2,000 at 6 months).

Compensation

$27.13 per hour with high potential for overtime and contracted Union pay increases. This position is eligible for union benefits including health care, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.

Schedule

Tuesday through Friday, 7:00AM start time; work until route is completed (average 10‑hour day).
