Job summary

Ryder in Portland, ME is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver to run local routes in a Box Truck, 40–45 hours weekly with a starting pay of $22.50/hour. The role includes a 5-day work week, 9:00 PM start, paid training, and generous benefits after 30 days.

Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowance, 401(k) with company match, and a $500 sign-on bonus at 30 and 90 days. Ryder provides training and fuel the growth of its drivers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive SAFELY within local routes and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and deliveries.
• Loading/unloading freight and assisting as required by the customer.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
• Support a customer-focused service approach.
