Job summary

Saxco International in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Local Box Truck Driver to perform local deliveries with a box truck, operating in a safety-conscious, customer-focused role. Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate and pass a DOT physical.
• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Must meet company driving standards and background checks.
• Must read, write and communicate in English for safety compliance.
• Strong safety-focused background.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and review driver itinerary per DOT regulations.
• Drive to deliver customer orders and meet scheduled times.
• Visually survey the site to identify hazards on approach.
• Unload and load using hand truck, pallet jack or forklift.
• Verify delivery, obtain signatures, and flag discrepancies with management.
• Return to the warehouse after completing the route.
• Complete post-trip duties: DOT logs, DVIR, and paperwork.
• Attend required safety meetings and follow company policies.
• Follow designated shift times and complete training as required.
