Job summary

RJ Schinner Co. is seeking a Local A CDL Driver for our Grand Prairie, TX operation. This full-time role offers Mon-Fri schedules, early starts, and home most nights, with one overnight per week. The company boasts 75 years of experience and 21 distribution centers across the U.S.

As a driver, you’ll perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure accurate deliveries, handle touch-freight, and maintain logs while upholding safety and customer-service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• DOT pre-employment and random testing compliance.
• Clean driving record and background check.
• Current Federal Medical Card.
• Knowledge of safety practices on the road.
• Experience making deliveries.
• Able to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck before and after trips and file DVIRs.
• Verify deliveries match ship tickets and quantities.
• Handle touch-freight deliveries with manual pallet jack.
• Collect payments for delivered goods per ship tickets.
• Maintain accurate driver logs per DOT/state regulations.
• Operate vehicle safely in compliance with DOT rules.
• Keep the vehicle clean and professionally presented.
• Maintain a valid CDL and clean driving record per policy.
