Job summary

A beachfront hotel in Pompano Beach is seeking a Lobby / Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness of public spaces. Scope of the Position :

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas including restrooms, hallways, lobby, elevators, fitness center, and employee areas.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, glass polishing, and trash removal.
  • Replenish supplies in public restrooms and other designated areas as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for cleaning or maintenance support in public spaces.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including the use of proper cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Communicate any maintenance or repair needs to Engineering or Housekeeping leadership.
Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in a hotel environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule - willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Qualification Standards
  • Education : High school graduate or equivalent education preferred.
  • Experience : 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred.
  • Grooming : All colleagues must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).
