Job summary

PNC is seeking a LOB Risk Lead – Regulatory Reporting & Internal Controls based in Pittsburgh, PA. You will partner with 1st and 2nd line risk functions to ensure accurate, timely regulatory reporting and robust internal controls across the FGO scope.

You will drive framework development, oversee risk governance, and coordinate with auditors and regulators while leading cross-functional teams to strengthen risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience coordinating regulatory reporting and controls in financial services.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

As a LOB Risk Lead – Regulatory Reporting & Internal Controls within PNC’s Finance Governance & Oversight Team, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role unites 1st Line of Defense and/or 2nd Line of Defense risk mitigation with financial and regulatory reporting to ensure execution in a complete, accurate, and timely manner. You will support monthly & quarterly risk processes, handle special requests from business partners and executive leadership, and work closely with auditors and regulators.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and oversee the FGO Regulatory Reporting Framework(s) (e.g., Liquidity, Basel, Regulatory Reporting)

  • Set framework methodologies and expectations, including materiality thresholds and qualitative considerations

  • Oversee compliance within each Line of Business (LOB) and Shared Services function

  • Understand FGO Frameworks and associated methodologies

  • Serve as primary LOB contact to support and advise management in managing risk and controls effectively in the FGO in‑scope programs

  • Perform 2LOD reviews, challenges, and governance (e.g., process mapping, control framework challenge, administering certifications) for the FGO supported control framework

  • Communicate identified issues in a timely manner to management and governing committees; track and report within eGRC Archer and maintain remediation plans

  • Foster collaboration and clear communication across the FGO team and business partners

  • Be proactive, accountable, and dynamic in addressing changes and challenges affecting the FGO control environment

  • Coordinate control and transaction testing with stakeholders per SLA

  • Support broader control and finance initiatives where appropriate

  • Ensure risk management strategies and programs support business and regulatory expectations

  • Oversee timely and proper execution of the risk management program within and/or across the lines of business; consult to execute program components

  • Provide risk expertise while working with businesses and risk partners (Compliance, Credit, Legal, Audit); monitor changes and identify emerging risks

  • Lead and engage cross‑functional teams and develop internal capabilities

Qualifications
