Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a leadership-focused head of loan operations in California to oversee payment processing, escrow monitoring, and regulatory compliance across the loan servicing lifecycle. You will lead a team, drive risk management, and partner with Treasury and Accounting to optimize loan purchase/sale activities.

The role requires extensive knowledge of TRID, RESPA, and related regulations, with a track record of improving processes and ensuring audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a finance/accounting-related field.
• 7+ years of loan servicing experience.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan operations, including payment processing and regulatory compliance across servicing lifecycle.
• Lead and develop a loan operations team with coaching and succession planning.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (TRID, RESPA, etc.).
• Drive process improvements and documentation for servicing unit.
• Manage loan purchase/sale activity with Treasury and Accounting teams.
• Provide regulatory training to staff to keep current on requirements.

About the Role

This leadership position oversees loan operations including payment processing, escrow monitoring, insurance/tax monitoring, investor reporting, quality control, and full regulatory compliance across the loan servicing lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Manage and develop a loan operations team hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (TRID, RESPA, SCRA, FACTA, GLBA, FDCPA, BSA/BO, and more)
• Oversee risk mitigation, audit response, and remediation of compliance findings
• Manage loan purchase/sale activity in partnership with Treasury, Accounting, and Leveraged Lending teams
• Drive process improvement and documentation across the servicing unit
• Partner cross-functionally to meet service level and productivity KPIs
• Provide regulatory training and updates to staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
• 7+ years of loan servicing experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing compliance and regulatory requirements
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
• FIS, Black Knight, Synergy, or Cash system experience preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
