Fall River Municipal Credit Union in Fall River, MA is seeking a Loan Services Representative to handle consumer, business, and mortgage loan files within the Loan Services/Lending department. The role requires ensuring compliance with policy and regulations and proper entry of loan information in the Core System.

Responsibilities include tracking insurance and escrow, processing payoffs, maintaining loan documents, and providing member services.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record and review all loan files for compliance with Credit Union policy and state and federal regulations; verify proper entry of loan information in the Core System
• Remit and track all recording documents for perfecting collateral liens
• Maintain recorded documents and original loan notes
• Track homeowners and vehicle insurance policies through the applicable third parties
• Completion of all QC of loans
• Record and remit PMI, Flood, Life & Disability insurance premiums
• Process Escrow payments for real estate taxes and conduct Escrow Analysis
• Quote and process payoffs on consumer loans and mortgages
• Prepare discharges and mail titles and cancelled notes on paid loans
• Prepare reports of exception items and maintenance issues and verify that corrective action has occurred as necessary
• Provide customer service support to all loan members
• Resolve questions and complaints to resolve payment problems; recommend corrective action where appropriate.
• Review system reports daily, weekly, monthly or as instructed by the Loan Services Supervisor or VP of Lending
• Maintain job knowledge and skill level needed to meet the requirements of the position
• Perform all other necessary duties, as required for Loan Services
• Assist in any area of the Loan Services Department as required by the Loan Services Supervisor or VP of Lending
• Maintains a required level of quality and quantity of work.
• Works within procedural limits of position.
• Ensure credit union confidentiality.
• Participate in educational conferences, seminars and workshops to maintain knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations

POSITION FUNCTION

Under the general supervision of the VP of Lending and Loan Services Supervisor, performs a wide variety of duties related to all consumer loan, business loan and mortgage products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Hand dexterity required to operate computer terminal and/or related equipment.
• Eye coordination required to operate computer/teller terminal.
• Sitting at desk or computer workstation for periods of time.
• Travels to Credit Union facilities/locations as required.
• Move around credit union between levels or floors while performing duties.
• Bending and stretching in work area.
• Speak and listen to members and explain credit union services.
