Job summary

Crowe LLP in the United States seeks a Loan Review Consultant to support credit risk consulting engagements for financial institutions. You will gather and analyze loan documentation, perform preliminary financial analyses, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Travel up to 50% may be required, with 1+ years in banking or risk consulting preferred. You will work with diverse clients, develop knowledge of loan underwriting and credit administration, and use Excel and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, loan review, financial institutions, or risk consulting.
• Completion of a commercial banking training program is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide loan review support and assist with credit risk consulting engagements for financial institution clients.
• Gather, organize, and analyze loan documentation, including financial statements, collateral information, and supporting credit files.
• Prepare preliminary financial analyses, including basic cash flow assessments and collateral evaluations, to identify potential credit risks.
• Evaluate whether commercial loan files adhere to bank policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state banking regulations.
• Review loan documentation for completeness and consistency, identifying exceptions and escalating findings to senior team members as appropriate.
• Assist in systematic reviews of commercial loan portfolios to evaluate credit quality, documentation, credit administration, and policy compliance.
• Support additional credit-related consulting projects, including due diligence engagements and data analysis initiatives.
• Contribute to loan review reports and other client deliverables by preparing analyses, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain project tracking tools and internal workflows while managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Develop knowledge of loan origination, underwriting, credit administration, and credit risk management practices.
• Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to improve efficiency and support client engagements.
• Collaborate with team members across multiple client engagements and geographic markets while delivering high‑quality client service.
