Job summary

WSECU is seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Officer - Internal to join our Residential Lending team. You’ll originate and promote WSECU’s mortgage products within branches, building strong relationships with staff and members to deliver timely, compliant loan solutions.

You will manage an inbound pipeline, price and disclose loans accurately, and strive to exceed production and service goals while maintaining an exceptional member experience and timely closings.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of mortgage loan origination experience, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirements.
• College degree in business or closely related field preferred (related experience may be substituted, year for year).

Responsibilities

• Originating mortgage loans by promoting and delivering WSECU’s mortgage and home equity products to members and prospective members within assigned branches
• Building strong relationships with branch staff and partners to support member needs and drive internal referrals
• Pricing, structuring, and disclosing loans accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Meeting or exceeding individual production and service goals
• Delivering an exceptional member experience by communicating proactively and ensuring timely, high-quality loan closings
• Managing a pipeline of loans with complete packages and consistent follow-through
• Maintaining NMLS licensing and staying current on products and mortgage industry trends
• Participating in required meetings, trainings, and Community Homeownership initiatives
• Supporting branch and team operations by covering queues and maintaining branch presence
• Contributing to process improvements to enhance tools and member experience

In this role, you’ll partner closely with branch staff and internal teams to serve members’ home financing needs, guiding them through the mortgage process with expertise and care. You’ll manage a strong pipeline of primarily inbound opportunities, deliver timely and compliant loan solutions, and build lasting relationships that reflect WSECU’s Brand Promise. Your Day May Include

• Originating mortgage loans by promoting and delivering WSECU’s mortgage and home equity products to members and prospective members within assigned branches
• Building strong relationships with branch staff and partners to supporting member needs and driving internal referrals
• Pricing, structuring, and disclosing loans accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Meeting or exceeding individual production and service goals
• Delivering an exceptional member experience by communicating proactively, managing expectations, and ensuring timely, high-quality loan closings
• Managing a pipeline of loans, including submitting complete and accurate loan packages and maintaining consistent follow-through
• Maintaining NMLS licensing and staying current on products, systems, and mortgage industry trends and competition
• Participating in required meetings, trainings, and Community Homeownership initiatives
• Supporting branch and team operations by participating in huddles, educating staff, covering queues as needed, and maintaining regular branch presence
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhancing processes, tools, and member experience

What You Bring To The Team

• At least three (3) years of demonstrated mortgage loan origination experience, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirements
• College degree in business or closely related field is preferred (related experience may be substituted, year for year, for academic achievement)

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with condos, jumbo loans, and manufactured homes

Competitive pay

$30.47 - $ 45.70 hourly + commission, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package.

• The target starting pay for this position is $30.47 - $38.08 hourly, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
• The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.

Where you’ll work

This role operates out of WSECU branches in the Spokane and/or Yakima areas. Please check our Branch Locations to find which are closest to you. Additionally, there are some expected days at our HQ location.

When you’d work

Monday - Friday 8:30am – 5:30 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of this non-exempt position.
