SECU is seeking a Loan Analytics Associate Data Scientist to collaborate with senior data scientists in developing predictive models for loan portfolios, and to build complex reports and dashboards from multiple data sources. Formación

• Four-year degree or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 – 2 years of experience.
• Must have a high level of technical aptitude and a passion for analytics, data, and problem solving.
• Must have the ability to define complex business problems and drive the development of analyses resulting in tangible insights and solutions and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with external third parties such as vendors and regulators as well as internally at multiple levels across the organization.
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with others to define analytical strategies and solutions while also being self-driven to autonomously execute on deliverables.
• Must understand the fundamentals of the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) and apply this process to analytics projects.

Responsabilidades

• Work with Senior Data Scientists to develop ML models and forecasts for loan portfolios including delinquency, default, and origination.
• Perform routine data extracts from mainframe and distributed DBs and generate reports and dashboards.
• Assist in identifying erroneous or outlier data and modify analyses accordingly.
• Assist operations with routine report writing, data validation, and analysis.
