Job summary

Union State Bank is seeking a Loan Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support in the loan administration area. You will open new deposit accounts, maintain customer relations, and cross-sell Bank products while supporting loan officers and the Market President.

Responsibilities include processing loan payments, researching accounts, ordering documents, and assisting with loan closings as requested. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous loan processing experience preferred.
  • Understand Federal, State and Union State banking rules and regulations.
  • Bank related courses strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Performs loan department duties: run credit reports, research accounts, process loan payments and advances, review loan approvals for completeness, order loan documents, and prepare letters.
  • Answer telephone and respond to routine loan inquiries about balances, payments, and payoff requests.
  • Order third-party reports for loan files (appraisals, title commitments, Phase 1 ESA reports).
  • Assist in loan closing and consumer lending needs as requested.
  • Provide general secretarial and clerical support to loan officers and Market President.
  • Coordinate calendars, schedules and meetings; support loan administration tasks as needed.
  • Open new deposit accounts for customers; cross-sell bank products and marketing campaigns.

Loan Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

To provide clerical and administrative support to the market in the loan administration area. Open new deposit accounts as requested. To maintain exceptional customer relations, provide timely assistance and cross-sell Bank products and services whenever possible.

Principal Responsibilities And Duties
  • Performs all related loan department responsibilities including, but not limited to; running credit reports and conducting account research; processing consumer and commercial loan payments and advances; reviewing loan approvals for completeness; order loan documents; preparing and sending commitment, engagement, auction and decline letters; and other documents as requested.
  • Answers the telephone; responds to routine loan officer or customer inquiries related to loan account balances, payments, and payoff requests.
  • Order/Request third party reports for the loan files such as appraisals, title commitments and Phase 1 ESA reports
  • May assist in loan closing, as requested.
  • May assist with consumer lending needs, as requested, and approved.
  • Request financial information from existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide general secretarial and clerical support to loan officers and Market President.
  • May coordinate calendars, schedules and meetings of Market President and other staff as necessary.
  • Open new deposit accounts for customers as needed.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services as needed and to promote various marketing campaigns.
  • Refer customers to other bank personnel for specialized customer needs.
  • Build and maintain loan information on new and existing customers as requested by lending staff.
  • Order loan documents for loan officer(s) as requested.
  • Prepare reports and documents and take minutes for Oklahoma Loan Committee and other committees, assigned.
  • Work loan exceptions under loan officer direction.
  • Perform loan administration duties, as required, or assigned.
  • Order title work for the market as directed.
  • Understand Federal, State and Union State Bank rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent required. Previous loan processing experience preferred. Previous retail customer service preferred. Continuing education to maintain regulatory and procedural knowledge is required. Understand Federal, State and Union State banking rules and regulations. Bank related courses strongly recommended.

Specific Skills Required

Ability to communicate, written and verbal, effectively with people both internally and externally. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with all levels within the organization. Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Able to handle confidential information and positively represent the company.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment. Prolonged (90%) sitting and periodic (less than 10% of the time) physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry or push heavy objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; Constant and repetitive use of arms and hands below shoulder level for computer usage; This position required the individual to perform normal office activities including, but not limited to, lifting, filing and retrieving, operating office equipment, etc. Travel between locations may be required.
