Job summary

Advance Services is seeking a Terminal Operator in Wisconsin to safely operate equipment used to load and unload rail cars, boats and trucks, ensuring accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. Welding, machine repair and basic electricity skills are preferred. Shift is 6am–3pm, Monday–Friday, with weekly pay and a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in Welding, Machine repair, and Basic Electricity
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
  • Load/unload material by rail, waterway, and road as applicable.
  • Operate truck loading equipment.
  • Maintain and repair terminal equipment.
  • Sample products and record maintenance and receipts, shipments, and inventory.
  • Follow safety policies and promote a culture of health, safety and environment.

Job description

Terminal Operator

Hours: 6am-3pm (Monday-Friday)

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Overview: The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail cars, boatsand/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.

Job Duties
  • Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
  • Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and road
    methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
  • Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
  • Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanicalmaintenance.
  • Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
  • Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipmentsand inventory records.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
