Job summary

UNFI is hiring to support its Distribution Centers in loading operations. You will verify product counts, stack, wrap, and load pallets into trailers using electric pallet jacks. The role requires attention to detail and safe handling of loads in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Starting pay is $22.75 per hour with a weekend premium of $2.00 per hour and additional $2.00 per hour for freezer environments where applicable. Candidates must be 18+ and able to lift up to 90 lb.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age due to equipment operation.
• Prior shipping/receiving/stock clerk experience is desirable.
• Must be able to lift cases up to 90 pounds.
• Must be able to read labels and make decisions on stacking/loading product.
• Good judgment when supervision is not immediately available.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts and verifies product descriptions and store numbers of items being loaded.
• Examines pallets to ensure they are shrink wrapped correctly.
• Stores product in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information.
• Reports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocks.
• Transports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Maintains loading performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety, while being mindful of weight distribution on the trailer.
• Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of division personnel.
