Work Location & Shifts

299 Mulberry Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:30pm, overtime as needed.

Pay

The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00/hour + benefits. (Shift differential not included in hourly pay rate stated above). This information is specific to Mechanicsburg, PA and may not be applicable to other locations.

What Your Day in This Role Might Involve at OC‑BWI Distribution

The Loader is an integral part of our production team, involved in daily processes and successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. This position works closely with teammates at multiple levels in customizing product, per specs, in preparation for shipment.

• Maneuver carts loaded with doors and door components
• Read/Interpret load ID list to sort product by customer, length, and width to create correct cart stacks
• Stage doors and door components in designated truck bays
• Perform final quality inspection of all doors and door components before product is loaded onto truck
• Load doors of various weights and sizes by hand into the designated truck trailers, while adhering to loading procedures to sort and secure products
• Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
• Provide safe operation of a sit-down forklift throughout the facility, as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Help with minor door repairs and general housekeeping
• Maintain an adequate level of product and forklift knowledge
• Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership
• Wear PPE such as composite/steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing.

• Ability to use an RF scanner
• Ability to use a pallet jack safely
• Ability to wrap pallets and use ratchet straps to ensure load stability and product protection during transit and storage

• Preferably one year experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Preferably one year experience operating a forklift

There are Some Essential Physical Requirements Specific to Our Work Environment, Including Being Able To

• Stand for 8 - 10 hours straight
• Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
• Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 75-pounds)
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes
• Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
• Frequently operate within confined spaces such as truck trailers, requiring comfort with limited mobility, variable temperatures and close-quarters coordination.
