Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Loader to load product onto trailers with accuracy and safety, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring pallet stability for transport to clubs.

Responsibilities include selecting pallets, verifying tickets, loading and wrapping pallets, and maintaining cleanliness while adhering to food safety and safety standards. Flexible scheduling and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow directions with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Select pallets and cross-dock product, verify against tickets.
• Verify load sheets and complete, legible diagrams and tickets.
• Load product onto trailers to minimize damage and ensure stability.
• Wrap pallets securely and ensure safe transport for distribution.
• Report damage and inventory discrepancies promptly.

Job Summary:

As a loader, you will be responsible for loading product onto trailers accurately, safely, efficiently, and support for the warehouse functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability of each pallet to ensure safe transport to our clubs. You will also be responsible for ensuring the pallets are loaded correctly according to the load diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately select appropriate pallets and/or cross-dock product and verify against pick tickets
• Verify all load sheets and turn in complete, legible, accurate load diagrams and pick tickets
• Handle and load product onto the trailer to minimize damage
• Ensure pallets are wrapped to ensure stability and stacked safely for transport
• Ensure each trailer is swept before use.
• Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary
• Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies
• Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas
• Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus
• 1+ year Warehouse experience preferred
• Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred
• Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources
• Ability to do basic math to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)
• Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally
• Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
• Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis
• Endurance for continuous, fast paced work
• Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
• Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)
• Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc)
• Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc).

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $25.75 - $30.90
