Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc seeks a Loader to load, unload, and move materials at our plant and yard. You will read pick tickets or instructions, handle materials by hand or with equipment, and ensure accurate counts and safe transport.

The role requires basic math and good oral communication; forklift certification is a plus. The position is on-site with physical outdoor work and potential occasional truck operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good oral communications and basic math skills.
• Able to pass background checks and ATF screenings.
• Flexible and able to make decisions in the company’s best interest.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and disperse supplies per policies.
• Load/unload materials by hand onto pallets.
• Move materials using hand-truck, dolly or yard devices.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure with straps.
• Perform accurate counts and record daily production.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with a hoist.
• Keep work area and equipment clean.
• Occasionally operate industrial trucks.
