Job summary

Warren Paving, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a Loader Operator to safely run a front-end loader, perform routine maintenance, and assist with general labor at outdoor job sites. The role requires 2+ years of CAT 966/980 experience and basic computer literacy.

The ideal candidate will be capable of reading/writing daily records, following MSHA safety standards, lifting 50 pounds, and occasionally working evenings or weekends. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Job description

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating a front-end loader in a safe and appropriate manner. The position requires the successful candidate to clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed, follow policies and procedures, conduct yourself in a courteous and respectful manner, be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done safely and efficiently, which may require some general labor work outside of equipment operations, and deal with customers and members of the public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF POSITION:

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Follow all company policies and MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Follow direction of Salesman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
• Practice workplace safety per MSHA standards
• Operate loader in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to load aggregate trucks: dump trailers and tandems.
• Knowledge of computerized scale systems.
• Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls.
• Work outdoors on location in all weather conditions and on all terrains, usually from the early morning hours until late afternoon/early evening
• May be expected to work evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, ensure equipment is safely and securely stored and clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
• Be able to handle physically strenuous and demanding conditions.
• Ability to work independently and to stay on top of the schedule
• Willingness to perform general labor work, when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• 2+ years loader operator experience with CAT 966 or CAT 980
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
• May require sitting for extended periods of time.
• Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
