Job Location: Syracuse, Liverpool, Camillus, East Syracuse

Compensation: $20.00-25.00/hourly

Guaranteed: 10 hours weekly

Year-round hours: Available

Job Summary:

Operate and maintain heavy equipment to efficiently clear snow from designated areas. The role involves working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, ensuring the safe and timely removal of snow to maintain access and safety for vehicles and pedestrians.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience operating loaders, front-end loaders, or similar heavy equipment, preferably in snow removal or construction.
• Skills: Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently; strong knowledge of snow removal techniques and safety practices.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work long hours in harsh winter conditions, including snow, cold temperatures, and ice. Must be able to lift and carry equipment or materials as necessary.
• Licensing: Valid and clean driver's license. Opportunities for increased compensation with a commercial driver's license (CDL). Certification for operating specific heavy machinery may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with snow removal techniques and the geographical area.
• Experience with additional equipment, such as skid steer, snow plows, or salt spreaders.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed outdoors in winter conditions, which may include snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. The role may involve long hours, night shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins during heavy snow events. Overtime may be required during snowstorms.
