Job summary

SRM Concrete, a family-owned leader in ready-mix, is seeking a Loader Operator to run heavy equipment and move materials around the plant. You’ll load/unload and work closely with the crew to maintain a smooth flow of operations.

Safety is priority; training is provided. You’ll be part of a reliable local team with steady shifts, potential overtime, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience running loaders or other big machines is helpful, but training is available.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Safety-conscious attitude and willingness to speak up if something's not right.
• Ability to check equipment and handle basic fixes.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors.
• Collaborate with crew and production team to keep schedules on track.
• Inspect equipment before/after shifts and report issues for safety.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE to maintain a safe plant.
• Keep work area clean and organized for a safer site.
• Assist with inventory counts to prevent material shortages.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to drive improvements.
• Lend a hand as needed to support teammates.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Take the wheel of powerful front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant - keeping our concrete flowing and our operations moving.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors so our team always has the materials they need.
• Work side-by-side with your crew and production team to keep things running on schedule.
• Check your equipment before and after each shift, and let the team know if something needs fixing - your safety and theirs comes first.
• Follow all safety rules, wear your gear, and help keep the plant a safe place for everyone.
• Pitch in to keep your work area clean and organized - because a tidy site is a safer site.
• Help count inventory and make sure we never run low on the materials that keep us going.
• Share your ideas with plant leaders and help us get better every day.
• Be ready to lend a hand wherever you're needed - whether it's helping a teammate or jumping in on a tough job.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience running loaders or other big machines is great, but if you're willing to learn and work hard, we'll train you.
