Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is hiring a Loader Operator to run heavy equipment and help keep our plants moving smoothly. You’ll load materials, assist the team, and ensure safety and quality on the line.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or large machinery; training available.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Safety-focused with ability to speak up if something's not right.
• Ability to perform basic equipment checks and fixes.
• Team player with good communication and reliability.
• Physically capable of steady movement in all weathers.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful, but not required.
• Willing to complete pre-employment screenings.
• Adherence to SRM's 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, Go-Getter.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and heavy equipment to move materials.
• Load/unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors.
• Work with crew to keep operations on schedule.
• Check equipment before/after shifts and report issues.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a tidy, safe work area.
• Assist with inventory counts and material availability.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to improve processes.
• Lend a hand as needed with other tasks.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Take the wheel of powerful front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant—keeping our concrete flowing and our operations moving.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors so our team always has the materials they need.
• Work side-by-side with your crew and production team to keep things running on schedule.
• Check your equipment before and after each shift, and let the team know if something needs fixing—your safety and theirs comes first.
• Follow all safety rules, wear your gear, and help keep the plant a safe place for everyone.
• Pitch in to keep your work area clean and organized—because a tidy site is a safer site.
• Help count inventory and make sure we never run low on the materials that keep us going.
• Share your ideas with plant leaders and help us get better every day.
• Be ready to lend a hand wherever you're needed—whether it's helping a teammate or jumping in on a tough job.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience running loaders or other big machines is great, but if you're willing to learn and work hard, we'll train you.
