Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Loader Operator responsible for operating a front-end loader to move bulk materials, feed conveyors, and load trucks or railcars. You will perform routine maintenance, monitor material quality, and ensure safe operation per O&M manuals.

The role requires strong safety awareness, teamwork, and flexibility to work nights or weekends when needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of machinery operation experience,

Job description

Position Summary:

Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars: Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences:

• High school education or equivalent (additional experience may be substituted for education)
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating machinery

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.
