Job summary

Highland Pellets in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a Loader/Heavy Equipment Operator to lift and transport bulk materials using a front-end loader. You will operate a rubber-tired loader, perform routine maintenance, and ensure materials are loaded and blended accurately.

The role requires at least two years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma, and ability to work nights, weekends, and outdoors on rotating shifts. Safety compliance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education.
  • Two Years’ Experience Heavy Equipment Experience.
  • One Year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
  • Must Complete Written and Field Training for Loader.
  • Ability to Climb Ladders, Stairs, Scaffolding and Ramps.
  • Ability to Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Reach, Stand, Walk, Push, Pull, Lift, Grasp, Shovel, Rake and any Necessary Requirements to Keep are Clean and Safe.
  • Ability to Work Extended Hours to Includes Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
  • Ability to Work Outdoors, Rotating Shifts, and Lift 50 Pounds Required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates Straight or Articulated Rubber-Tired Tractor-Type Vehicle Equipped with Front-M-mounted Hydraulically Powered Bucket or Scoop to Lift and Transport Bulk Materials to and from Storage or Processing Areas, to Feed Conveyors, Hoppers, or Chutes, and to Load Trucks or Railcars: Starts Engine, Shifts Gears, Presses Pedals, and Turns Steering Wheel to Operate Loader.
  • Moves Levers to Lower and Tilt Bucket and Drives Front-End Loader Forward to Force Bucket into Bulk Material.
  • Moves Levers to Raise and Tilt Bucket When Filled, Drives Vehicle to Work Site, and Moves Levers to Dump Material.
  • Performs and Completes All Items Listed on Preventative Maintenance Sheets at the Beginning of Each Shift.
  • Ensures the Right Material goes into the Correct Bins and are Topped Off with the Right Blending Rate.
  • Keep Area Around Bins Including; Tail Roles, Area Under Belts, and Ramps Free from Debris.
  • Keep Radial Pad Clean Including; Chips, Bark, Residuals, and Fines at Appropriate Separate Distance to Limit Contamination.
  • Effectively Communicate to All Team Members and Management any Equipment Deficiencies.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail; Able to Follow Instruction Both Written and Verbal.
  • Ensure Workers Adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
  • Perform Other Related Duties as Assigned.
