Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Loader Operator to support daily asphalt plant production in Central Texas. You will operate a front-end loader, move aggregates, maintain stockpiles, and assist with plant tasks while following safety procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and about 2 years of construction-related experience, with knowledge of heavy equipment and PPE requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role with potential travel and weekend shifts.

Position Overview .

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to support daily asphalt plant production. This role ensures proper handling of raw materials, maintains stockpile organization, and assists with overall plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to move, load and supply aggregate materials to bins and hoppers.
• Maintain organized and properly managed stockpiles.
• Monitor material quality and report inconsistencies to plant personnel.
• Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance (fueling, cleaning, inspections).
• Assist with general plant upkeep and support other production tasks as needed.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with plant operators, truck drivers, and other crew members to ensure smooth production flow.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred.
• 2 years of previous related experience in the construction field.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Previous knowledge of heavy equipment required.

Work Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls.
• Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations
