Job summary

Martin Marietta's Coy Stone Plant in Jefferson City, Tennessee is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, dependable, and motivated, and will operate a loader and related equipment, performing daily pre- and post-inspections and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Typical duties include loading, preparation of haul roads, following MSHA safety rules, and assisting in training coworkers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of mobile/construction equipment.
• Loader operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader safely and efficiently according to company guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections and report needed repairs.
• Assist with safety inspections and follow MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain haul roads, drill bench, and product piles as needed.
• Aid in training co-workers and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What to expect:

Martin Marietta is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Loader and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The loader operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways.

A typical day for a(n) Loader Operator may include:

• Operating a loader within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Constructing haul roads, prepares drill bench, levels shot material after blasting, and constructs drainage as needed
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as dozers and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you:

• Possess High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
• Have experience in operation and maintenance of a loader (preferred)
