Job summary

Capital Materials is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to safely run a front-end loader and support concrete production at our Columbia, MO area site. The role involves basic mechanical tasks, routine inspections, and helping with maintenance to ensure smooth daytime operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of loader experience, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience operating a front-end loader required.
• Mechanical experience or strong mechanical aptitude required (equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or similar hands-on experience).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment as required.
• Load, transport, and manage materials to support continuous concrete production.
• Move material from stockpiles to feeder bins with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance, including fueling, lubricating, and checking fluid levels.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with general plant maintenance and special projects as assigned.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support plant operations.

Position Summary

• Must successfully pass a pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.
• Candidates will be required to complete a skills assessment as part of the interview process.
