Rahns Construction Materials, Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator to safely operate plant equipment and support outside duties at our Bethlehem plant locations. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and experienced with plant operation and maintenance, with 320 Wheel loader experience preferred.

Training is available for a safety-minded individual willing to learn. Responsibilities include performing inspections, operating loaders, moving material, and assisting the batch plant manager

Aufgaben

• Follows company safety policies and OSHA policies.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections daily.
• Operate loader: start engine, shift gears, steer, and use joysticks to move bucket.
• Move levers to lower/tilt bucket and drive loader to push material into finished product.
• Move levers to lift/tilt bucket when filled and dump material into plant bins or dump trucks.
• Provide excellent support to the batch plant manager and perform outdoor duties at plant locations.
• Maintain haul roads, keep stockpiles pushed up, and ensure correct bin loading.
• Perform routine maintenance on loader and plant equipment (lubricate/clean).
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Overview

Rahns Construction Materials, Inc. is looking for the ideal Plant Operator to provide smooth operator of plant equipment. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, professional, and experienced with plant operation and maintenance. Experience with a 320 Wheel loader is preferred but training is available for a conscientious, safety minded individual willing to learn. Must be willing to do outside labor tasks at our plant locations.

Responsibilities

Essential Abilities, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Follows company safety policies and OSHA policies.
• Perform pre and post trip of equipment every day and fill out daily inspection sheets.
• Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel/moves joysticks to operate loader.
• Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into finished product.
• Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled and dumps material into plant bins or dump trucks.
• Provide excellent support to our batch plant manager, while performing all outside duties at our plant location.
• Maintains haul roads that are smooth and safe.
• Keep stockpiles properly pushed up and maintained.
• Ensure product is consistent and loaded into the correct bins.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader and plant apparatus, such as lubricating and cleaning.
• Perform all work following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) OR one month of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Basic mechanical abilities
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership and teamwork skills

• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3+ months of related experience and/or training
• Experience with equipment maintenance
• Experience with loader operations
• Experience with Q329 caterpillar trackhoe and LT105 portable crusher
• MSHA or other relevant safety certifications
