Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking an Automotive Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems on loader and grapple trucks during manufacturing and service operations.

You will work with the Lead Electrician to ensure wiring, harnesses, control systems, and accessories meet company and OEM standards, while developing advanced diagnostic skills through hands-on production and field service tasks.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and instruments.
  • Install and repair electrical wiring on trucks and related components.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair electrical wiring, harnesses, components, and accessories on loader and grapple trucks.
  • Fabricate and install wire harnesses from electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, scan tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot 12V and 24V electrical systems, sensors, switches, relays, lighting, and control circuits.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform electrical inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.
  • Verify repairs through proper testing and quality checks.
  • Assist the Lead Electrician with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field service support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow company safety and quality standards.
