Loaders with a Full/Time Position (40+ hrs) typically work in warehouses, where they prepare outgoing shipments and receive incoming goods by shrink-wrapping pallets, loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers. When a vehicle arrives or departs the warehouse with freight, a loader's responsibility is to immediately onload merchandise and report an inventory count to the floor supervisor. While the loader's main duties are loading and unloading shipping trucks, they perform various duties that can change from day to day based on the needs of the business.
Additional tasks and loader duties include preparing shipments, conducting inspections of merchandise, ability to step out of the warehouse to assist drivers, and assisting with warehouse maintenance and cleaning tasks. When working in retail establishments, loaders are typically responsible for loading merchandise into customer businesses and accommodating pallets of water, for example under the customer's direction.
A successful Loader candidate should possess the following prerequisite skills and qualifications necessary to perform the wide range of job duties and excel in this position:
Position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00am to 2:30pm, forty or more hours per week, with weekends off.
