Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Loader in Oklahoma City, OK to move cylinders for delivery and support daily operations in a retail shop.

The role requires forklift operation, the ability to work independently, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, with U.S. work authorization. Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with comprehensive benefits provided.

  • Maintain reliable attendance and support varying work schedules.

Load cylinders for delivery to customers and outlying branches. Unload empties and move to fill racks and/or cylinder storage areas.

Responsibilities
  • Actively partner in personal and team safety and health.
  • Contributes to a safe & healthy work environment.
  • Engaged in safety & other ongoing training.
  • Align with all regulatory agency requirements, i.e. DOT, EPA, OSHA, FDA, et. al.
  • Load pallets with full cylinders and place in storage.
  • Prepare and load trucks for delivery to customers and outlying branches using store order sheets / manifests.
  • Care for and safely operate the forklift.
  • Perform required pre-trip inspection on fork lift daily.
  • Alert production manager of any shortages.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and support hourly work schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift and become certified.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documents.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
  • High school degree or the equivalent GED.
