Loader

Responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work sites, performing any combination of following duties: Reads pick ticket orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or products to be loaded, unloaded, or moved. Has no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Receive and disperse supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and/or shelves by hand.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand-truck, dolly, or other yard devices.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform accurate order fulfillment counts; record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily sheets.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or using a power hoist.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Occasionally operate industrial trucks to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to pass a background check with ATF.
• Flexibility and sound decision-making aligned with company interests.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
• Lift 50-80 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work on uneven and loose surfaces.
• Stooping and bending 60–70% of the time.
