Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Northampton, MA is seeking a forklift operator for 2nd shift. You will operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload shipments, prepare orders on pallets, and maintain a clean shipping area while ensuring accuracy of load tallies and damage documentation.

Job Summary

Under supervision, performs logistics tasks including material handling, inventory management, and shipment preparation using manual methods and basic equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors).

Key Responsibilities

Operate sit-down forklift to primarily load but also unload shipments.

Prepare and load orders for shipment to include placing on pallets.

Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

Document damaged items.

Complete required load tallies and properly scan units.

Conduct routine quality checks on finished goods.

Adhere to safety and organizational standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $29.82 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
