# Load Driver AWEST JORDAN, UT 84088## Description### **SUMMARY**This position will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. #### **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Must be able to use hand held bar-coding units and know and understand all functions required in the bar-coding process.* Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved or pulled for shipment.* Loads and unloads materials onto or from tractor trailers.* Loads pallets onto truck and inspects strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.* Verifies materials loaded or unloaded against work order or bill of lading.* Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.* Makes partial racks when necessary to complete shipping order.* Organizes and randomly inspects inventory on yard.* Operates industrial truck or electric hoist safely and accurately to assist in loading or moving materials and products.* Must be able to train and mentor lower level loaders.* Drivers will be responsible to follow safety procedures during loading and strapping loads.* This job description outlines the principal duties and in no way states or implies these are the only duties to be performed in this position.#### **MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES**#### **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**This position has no supervisory responsibilities.## Qualifications#### **QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
