Job Responsibilities

1. Perform routine loading and unloading of materials within the yard or work site, assembling load packages into trucks for delivery.
2. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles, installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
3. Operate various lifting devices, such as forklifts, to move products, equipment, or materials within the warehouse, shop, or yard.
4. Build loads by determining appropriate weight, composition, and placement based on customer orders and vehicle capacity to ensure safety and balance.
5. Transport materials to or from storage to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, or other devices.
6. Attach labels or tags to materials and mark information on containers to ensure correct identification.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, along with three months of experience performing similar tasks, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification is required.
