Job summary

LCB Senior Living is hiring Resident Care Associates at The Residence at Salem Woods. Full-time and part-time positions available with shifts 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. Pay ranges $20.00-$23.00/hour based on experience, with benefits starting day one.

The role provides personal care, therapeutic activities, and safety support per service plans, with a focus on dignity and independence for residents. Training and state regulations compliance are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed CNA course or equivalent per state regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid training as mandated by state employment.
  • Ability to document services accurately using computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of LCB Senior Living.
  • Represent and interact positively to grow community occupancy.
  • Complete orientation training before regular duties.
  • Assist residents with medications per state rules and record entries.
  • Engage residents in activities to support independence in ADLs.
  • Observe changes in resident needs and report to RN promptly.
  • Assist residents with clothing and laundry per service plan.
  • Help residents in going to bed at night as needed.
  • Keep units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to residents promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing in-service training and required education.
  • Escort residents to meals and engagement activities as directed.
  • Document services provided and input data in the computer system.
  • Lead cognitive, social, physical, and spiritual programming.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

The duties of Resident Care Associate include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan for each Resident.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the basic functions of this position. Prior to being assigned regular duties, each Resident Care Associate shall successfully complete the community's and any State orientation training program.4. Assisting residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making the required record entries at appropriate times, and making the appropriate notifications to the nurse concerning self- administered medications (as specified by state regulations).5. Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiencesProvides assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including and not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assist in dining, and mobility.Takes initiative in engaging in group and individual engagement.6. Monitors for changes in resident needs, preferences and health status. Reports/documents any noticed changes at once to the RN or designee.7. Assisting Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.8. Assisting Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.9. Assisting Residents with keeping their units neat, clean and orderly.10. Answering emergency calls and attending to the Residents needs promptly.11. All Resident Care Associates are required to participate in the community's regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs. Upon request of the Resident Care Director, Resident Care Associates shall participate in specialized staff training programs, and mandatory education requirements dictated by State Regulation.12. Assists with escorting residents to meals and engagement as needed or directed.13. Documents both scheduled and unscheduled service that are provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out of the ordinary events, including a residents refusal of services. Inputs information in to the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.14. Conducts and facilitates programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection.15. Experience: Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred. Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.d. Certificates/Licenses: Current license/certification as required by State Regulation and provide copies of the documentation to the Resident Care Director or designee.e. Computer Skills: Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.
