Job summary

Skyworks Greensboro Design Center is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering student for an RFIC internship from January to June 2027. You will work with an elite RF team on real products used in next-gen cellular phones, designing LNA circuits, matching networks, and running simulations.

You'll gain hands-on experience with AI/ML-assisted circuit design, EM tools, and lab data analysis, while presenting findings to the engineering group. A collaborative, proactive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Available to work onsite January - June 2027.
• Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS, MS or PhD program.
• Strong background in RFIC design (Smith Chart, Impedance Matching).
• Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP3, VSWR, NF, power gain).
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, and Cadence.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and debugging simulation test benches.
• Setting up and debugging LNA model with EM tools.
• Running verification on completed LNA designs.
• Design Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), RF Switches, Matching Networks.
• Using AI/ML for circuit design, simulation and automation.
• Compile results in slides and present to engineering team.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Must have ability to complete Co-op term prior to graduation.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
