Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care, assist with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility and toileting, and support vital signs and specimen collection. The role includes reporting changes to the charge nurse or supervisor and ensuring patient privacy at all times.

Essential skills include lifting up to 50 pounds, good communication, and adherence to confidentiality. BLS and NH LNA license are required, with HS Diploma as minimum education.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • New Hampshire LNA license required by NH Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record vital signs and weights.
  • Provide hands-on patient care.
  • Grooming and personal care of patient.
  • Feed or assist patients with meals and provide hydration per care plan.
  • Assist physician and/or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
