Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a patient care support role to assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic patient monitoring. You will document in the electronic medical record and relay health concerns to licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a hospital setting. Prior CNAs or LNA NH certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Nursing Assistant (LNA - NH) – NH Board of Nursing.
• Experience: 1-2 years in patient care/elder care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Measures vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Documents in medical records and communicates health concerns to nurses.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks and mobility; helps patients turn and reposition.
• Maintains patient safety and supports families during care.

Job Summary

Salary Range: $19.47 - $31.09. Pay is based on experience.

$750 Sign on Bonus!

6:45am -7:15pm - 3days per week.

Summary

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.


• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.


• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.


• Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks. This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them.


• Assist with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.


• Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.
