Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking an LNA Apprentice enrolled in an approved nursing assistant program. Under supervision, you will assist with basic patient care, hygiene, nutrition, and monitoring while progressing toward NH LNA certification.

Participation includes classroom, lab, and clinical experiences, with guidance from RNs, LPNs, or instructors to transition into a Licensed Nursing Assistant role upon certification.

Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications include enrollment in an approved Nursing Assistant Training Program and meeting eligibility requirements.
• Certification: completion of BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, or Heartsaver CPR AED renewal per policy.
• Commitment to patient dignity, privacy, safety, and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom instruction, lab experiences, and clinical training.
• Performs supervised patient care activities taught and authorized by the program.
• Assists with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Supports nutrition and hydration needs and monitors intake as directed.
• Reports vital signs and changes to supervising staff in a timely manner.
• Maintains patient dignity, confidentiality, and a safe clinical environment.
