Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Nursing Assistant to join a specialized wound and ostomy care team in Exeter, NH.

You will provide personal care, perform basic procedures, document care, and support patient safety in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Minimum 6 months of LNA experience, NH license, CPR within 90 days required; shifts four per month minimum; training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Nursing Assistant (LNA).
• Current New Hampshire LNA license.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients.
• Perform all clerical duties including accurate and timely patient care documentation.
• Transcribe physician orders; maintain record integrity.
• Enter orders and records charges; maintain department records.
• Assist with wound dressing care and non-sterile dressing changes.
• Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering wound and ostomy care.

(Training will need to be atleast 2-3 days for several weeks)Clinic Hours:Monday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PMTuesday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMFriday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PMShifts will vary based on clinic needs during operating hours.RequirementsMinimum of 6 months of experienceCurrent New Hampshire Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certificationCPR certification within 90 days of hireMajor ResponsibilitiesFollows established departmental policies and procedures; objectives; quality improvement programs; safety/environment of care programs and infection control standards.Provides personal care to patients.Performs all clerical duties to include accurate and timely patient care documentation. Transcribes physician orders; maintains record integrity. Performs clerical duties relating to admission; discharge; transfer and death. Maintains department records; reports and files. Requisitions supplies; equipment; maintenance and repairs. Keeps stock and equipment inventories.Determines proper functioning of medical equipment to assure patient safety.Maintains a safe; comfortable and therapeutic environment for patient and family in accordance with hospital standards including assurance and support of patient's rights and responsibilities.Performs EKGs and/or ortho tech/telemetry skills. May perform phlebotomy in designated areas.
