Role Description The LMRT, PRN role is a part-time, on-site position based in DOWNTOWN Austin, TX, supporting diagnostic imaging services within a clinical setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing limited scope radiologic exams under supervision, ensuring accurate patient positioning, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and following all regulatory and facility guidelines. The LMRT will verify patient identity, review exam orders, prepare and educate patients, and maintain detailed, timely documentation in the medical record. This role also involves assisting with exam room setup and equipment care, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient flow, and supporting a safe, compassionate environment for patients and colleagues. PRN team members may work varied shifts based on departmental needs, maintaining flexibility to provide coverage as requested.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) license in good standing; completion of an approved LMRT training program.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing limited diagnostic radiologic procedures and applying radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff.
• Strong patient-care skills, including effective communication, clear patient education, and a respectful, trauma-informed approach to individuals of all backgrounds.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain accurate records, and use electronic health record and imaging systems with attention to detail.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing patient volumes and schedules.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, basic life support (BLS) practices, and OSHA/healthcare safety standards; BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Prior experience in an outpatient clinic, urgent care, or hospital imaging department is beneficial but not mandatory.
