Job summary

Sycuan Health Center in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art Behavioral Health team. You will deliver individual, couples, and family therapy within an integrated medical clinic, collaborating with physicians and care teams.

The LMFT will diagnose and treat emotional and relational concerns using evidence-based approaches, while ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation and crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
• Active California LMFT license with BE agent status.
• Eligibility to bill Medi-Cal and commercial plans.
• Familiarity with DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Experience with child/adolescents and lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Diagnose mental health conditions per DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and providers.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Maintain client confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Participate in supervision, training, and continuing education.
• Provide referrals and coordinate care with external resources.
