Job summary

Ralco Agriculture is seeking a Livestock Research Intern to join the Innovation Team at Marshall, MN. You will assist with animal care, sample collection, and data recording across swine, poultry, and ruminant research while gaining exposure to multiple departments.

The internship offers practical lab and field experience, training in research protocols, and opportunities to shadow nutritionists, sales, R&D, and finance teams. Must be pursuing relevant degree and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field as a sophomore or higher.
• Fundamental laboratory experience and knowledge of chemistry, biology, and animal science.

Responsibilities

• Assist with execution of research protocols from start to finish.
• Support livestock care, including feeding and sample collection.
• Conduct laboratory testing for swine, poultry, and ruminant research.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage supplies, and ensure facility cleanliness.
• Monitor and observe experiments, recording production and test data for evaluation by research personnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively.
• Participate in job shadowing across departments such as nutrition, sales, R&D, finance, and marketing.
