Job summary

Wholestone Farms is seeking a Livestock Intern in Fremont, Nebraska. The role involves supporting Livestock and Procurement teams, assisting with procurement processes and animal welfare, and helping coordinate the delivery of live hog loads to fulfill contracted agreements.

The intern will maintain professional relationships with producers, transporters and logistics teams while developing practical experience in livestock operations and farm-to-fork supply chain activities.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and able to perform essential duties.
• Current college junior or senior; degree and major in Animal Science, Agribusiness or equivalent required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; able to communicate effectively in group settings.

Responsibilities

• Support Livestock and Procurement teams and animal welfare efforts.
• Assist with procurement and delivery of loads of live hogs to fulfill contracted agreements.
• Maintain professional relationships with producers, transporters and logistics teams.
