• Experience required: 1 month
• Must have a valid driver’s license within 30 days of hire
• Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at employer’s expense

Responsibilities

• Maintain heated watering system
• Operate snow removal equipment to access feed wagons
• Mix feed and additives; fill feed troughs with feed and water
• Inspect animals for diseases or injuries; vaccinate via drinking water or feed
• Apply medications to cuts and bruises; spray livestock with insecticide
• Confine livestock in stalls; wash/clip castrate livestock
• Branding to indicate ownership; clean stalls with disinfectants
• Maintain buildings and equipment; track breeding, feeding, and costs
• Haul hay as needed; drive to town for supplies; perform equipment maintenance
• Manage manure under nutrient management program; load/stockpile and apply at specified rates
• Complete daily load sheets for traceability; monitor weather-related tasks
