Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a hands-on livestock assistant to support ARDEC operations in Fort Collins, providing daily animal care, feeding, health checks, and basic maintenance. The role includes operating equipment and assisting with herd movements, under supervision and within a collaborative team environment.

Experience with livestock and heavy equipment is preferred, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily livestock feeding, health checks, and medical treatments.

• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, feed trucks, skid steer).
• Perform minor facility repairs and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
